Job Description: Residential Standards Officer
We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Residential Standards Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that residential properties meet the required standards of safety and quality.
Main Responsibilities:
- To conduct regular property inspections to identify potential hazards and non-compliances.
- To investigate complaints and incidents related to housing standards.
- To enforce housing legislation and regulations through the use of statutory notices and prosecutions.
- To provide guidance and advice to owners, landlords, and tenants on housing standards and regulations.
- To collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant field such as housing, law, or social sciences.
- Experience in housing standards and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with ICT systems and Microsoft Office.
