Head Housekeeper Job Description

Cathay Care Home is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise the domestic team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the care home.
  • Empty waste bins and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Vacuum and dust all areas, including furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean and maintain dining rooms, lounges, toilets, and other communal areas.
  • Polish mirrors and clean pipe work in toilets.
  • Dust and polish furniture and windowsills.
  • Restock toiletries, soaps, and towels as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in a care home environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
