Cathay Care Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our close-knit care team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, promoting independence and encouraging positive choices.
- Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
- Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicating concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assisting with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
- Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
- Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
- Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
- Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Spread Smiles: Bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.
- Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant is ideal, but we also welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills who are enthusiastic about working with the elderly.
- Passion: A genuine interest in providing care for the elderly and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Values: Integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork are essential qualities for success in this role.
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.10.
- Contracted hours: 22, 33, or 44 hours per week - flexible with hours.

- 5.6 weeks annual leave.
