Grantham Hospital has become an NHSE accredited Surgical Hub, specialising in treating patients who meet specific criteria for non-acute treatment. The hub works closely across wards, theatres, anaesthetics, surgery, and support disciplines like pre-assessment, physiotherapy, and radiology to ensure high-quality patient care services.
The Clinical Services Manager is accountable to the Deputy General Manager to support effective operational management, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care services and efficient resource use.
- Manage operational aspects of specialties, including resources and performance objectives within national and trust frameworks.
- Work with Clinical Leads and Matrons to plan and implement change, improving service efficiency and enhancing patient care.
- Line manage other members of the Directorate management support team as required.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A first degree (BSc or BA) or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and commitment to future career development.
Desirable Qualifications
Candidates with project management, quality improvement, and clinical qualifications are highly desirable.
Previous Experience
You will require experience in senior management roles within the healthcare sector, including:
- Successful financial management.
- Monitoring and delivering to healthcare targets.
- Delivering major service change projects and programmes within a healthcare setting.
- Producing reports, data analysis, and performance information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Aptitudes
You will possess:
- In-depth understanding of clinical governance management.
- Knowledge and experience of information governance and data protection.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A creative problem-solving approach.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Experience of creating high-performing teams and services with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours aligned with the Trust framework.
Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
