  • The role involves taking on the safeguarding adult manager role and serving as an enquiry officer in accordance with the Pan London Safeguarding procedures.
  • As a Locality Social Services Manager, you will conduct strength-based assessments for adults and their carers, offering guidance and support as needed.
  • This position requires developing support plans for and with adults and their carers, in partnership with professional colleagues and representatives of voluntary and private agencies.
  • The successful candidate will be accountable for monitoring and reviewing the needs and support plans of adults and their carers.
  • Maintaining client records in accordance with Council Policy and professional standards is also crucial to this role.
  • The Locality Social Services Manager will address complaints in line with the Council's complaints procedure, striving to resolve issues whenever feasible.
  • Ensuring adults and carers can express their views and opinions by providing advocacy, communication assistance, or translation services when necessary is another vital duty.
  • This position entails organizing, participating in, and presiding over case conferences and planning meetings as required.
  • Supervising, guiding, and evaluating staff in line with policy, as agreed upon with the line manager, is also a significant responsibility.
  • The successful candidate will guarantee that information on adult records is comprehensive before authorizing or closing to ensure precise statutory reporting data.

    Requirements:

    1. A social work qualification or equivalent is necessary.
    2. Social Work England registration is compulsory.
    3. An understanding of relevant legislation is required.

    Salary: Estimated £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
