Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join their team as a Locum Lead Practitioner in Child Protection. This role will involve working full-time based in Bromley, assessing and providing services to children and families in need, while maintaining high standards of professional practice within the team and division.

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services, be registered with Social Work England, and have significant senior level frontline experience within children's services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To assess for and provide services to children and families in need within the framework of the appropriate legislation, regulations, departmental procedures and child care policy.
  • To maintain high standards of professional practice within their own workload and to promote and enhance such practice within the team and division.
  • To share the operational management of the service and supervise some staff (up to level III Social Workers) in the service.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work with a current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services.
  • Skill in analysing complex and problematic situations.
  • Ability to manage working time effectively in order to meet both professional priorities and administrative requirements.

Estimated Salary: £50,062 per annum (Assignment rate)
