About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Axcis Education Recruitment as a Mental Health Support Worker. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide SEN (Special Educational Needs) support on a full-time basis in mainstream primary and secondary schools within the St Helens area. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in working with children and supporting learners with additional needs. If you have experience working with children, young people or adults with learning disabilities, this could be the ideal role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to children and young people who require additional help with their mental health.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, other support workers and external agencies to ensure that the child receives the best possible support.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the needs of each child.
  • Assist in promoting positive behavior and well-being among children and young people.

Requirements and Benefits

You will need to be able to work full-time from 8am to 4pm and be prepared to undergo mandatory compliance checks in line with the DfE guidelines.
