Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Community Therapy Team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and rehabilitation services to patients with long-term conditions and frailty within their own homes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, using your skills and expertise to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. Our team works closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and support.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a variety of clinical settings, particularly in the community. You will need to be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individuals, as well as prioritize your workload efficiently and delegate tasks to others when necessary.

As a senior occupational therapist, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership skills, advance communication and negotiation skills, and promote choice and independence in undertaking patient care. You will also be required to supervise junior staff, contribute to audit and evaluation within a clinical governance framework, and participate in ongoing professional development.
