Job Summary:

The position of Therapy Specialist at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in wheelchair services. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with rehabilitation engineers, assistants, and administration staff to provide comprehensive services to individuals with disabilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assess clients for the prescription of manual and powered wheelchairs and specialist seating.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans to maximize client function and independence.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver multi-disciplinary interventions.
  4. Supervise students and unqualified therapy staff to ensure effective transfer of knowledge and skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • Clinical experience in rehabilitation, clinic, and community services.
  • State registration as an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or nurse.

Estimated Salary: £38,500 - £42,600 per annum.
