Primary Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Primary Mental Health Worker. In this role, you will work closely with children and young people to provide emotional and mental health support, helping them to build resilience and overcome challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to children and young people, helping them to develop coping strategies and improve their emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as teachers and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive support package for each child or young person.
- Develop and deliver group programs to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience among children and young people.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of mental health support services.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children and young people in a mental health or related setting.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, young people, and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
