Primary Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Primary Mental Health Worker to join our team at Barnardo's. As a Primary Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting and strengthening the provision of emotional and mental health support for children and young people in South Cumbria.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team to improve outcomes for children and young people. You will be responsible for providing emotional and mental health support, building capacity and capability within community services, and working closely with local authorities and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide emotional and mental health support to children and young people in South Cumbria
- Work closely with local authorities and other stakeholders to build capacity and capability within community services
- Develop and deliver training to support the mental health needs of children and young people
- Use your initiative and work independently to achieve agreed outcomes
- RMN/CQSW/DipSW/BSc.OT or other relevant professional qualification
- Significant post-registration experience of working in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service or equivalent
- Comprehensive understanding of children's safeguarding
- Ability to use your initiative and work independently
