We are seeking a skilled Internal Communications Lead to join our dynamic organisation in Newcastle Upon Tyne. As the driving force behind creating engaging and clear communication, you will foster team understanding and enhance business efficiency. Working in partnership with the People & Culture team, you will lead efforts to keep employees engaged, facilitate inter-team communication, and showcase our organisation as a great place to work.

We are looking for someone with a proactive, creative mindset, excellent organisation and communication skills, and the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.

Your main responsibilities will include:

* Implementing the annual internal communications plan in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and the People and Culture Director/team.

* Creating monthly corporate updates highlighting achievements, best practices, and latest news.

* Crafting content for the quarterly staff newsletter.

* Developing content to support employer brand communication, including managing website sections.

* Producing content to support internal initiatives and events.

* Organising company events throughout the year.

* Designing branded materials to support the People and Culture team.

* Providing support for other marketing functions as required.

About you: To excel in this role, you will bring an inquisitive, creative approach to communication, along with genuine enthusiasm for your work. You should have a degree-level qualification or significant relevant experience, especially in roles emphasising exceptional writing and organisational skills. Previous experience in internal communications is highly desirable.
