The Tutor Trust is a Northern charity providing tutoring services on a not-for-profit basis. Our mission is to empower young people by offering high-quality, subsidised tutoring to those who need it most.

We work directly with Primary and Secondary schools across the North, supporting pupils in Maths, English, and Science. As a tutor, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils unlock their potential.

  • You'll plan and deliver tuition for small groups of up to three pupils.
  • You'll form meaningful relationships with pupils over the course of a 15-week tuition assignment.
  • You will work on a self-employed basis.
  • Tutoring usually takes place during the school day on the school premises.
What We're Offering

As a tutor with The Tutor Trust, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in young people's lives. You'll earn £21 per hour for planning and delivering each hour of tuition, plus gain key teaching skills from our core tutor training programme.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • At least three hours' availability a week to deliver tutoring.
  • A grade of B/6 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check, provided and paid for by The Tutor Trust.
  • Ability to register as self-employed in the UK.
  • No teaching experience is required, but you should demonstrate a commitment to our mission and a passion for helping others.
