Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced teaching assistant to join our team at a large specialist SEN school. In this role, you will work with students aged 11 to 19 who have complex needs and disabilities. The successful candidate will have experience working with children with disabilities or special educational needs and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support across multiple classes, one-to-one teaching assistant work, and small group support.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to provide tailored support to students with complex needs.
  • Deliver sensory curriculum-based learning activities to promote engagement and participation.
  • Assist with personal care, including lifting and hoisting, as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children with disabilities or special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role.

Salary: £90-£105 per day
