Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to lead our SEN services within a school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing therapy provision, ensuring high standards of care, and fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse communication needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional development to the school's SEN SLT team.
  • Direct Therapy and Interventions: Deliver specialized, evidence-based speech and language therapy services in both 1:1 and group settings.
  • Staff Training and Development: Provide training and workshops for teachers, support staff, and parents to promote effective communication strategies and support for students.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Act as the primary SLT representative in multi-disciplinary meetings, including EHCP reviews.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting: Regularly assess and document students' progress, adapting therapy plans based on outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working with children with SEN, preferably within a school or similar educational setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in speech and language therapy, particularly in SEN.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to balance clinical work with leadership duties.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
