As a Senior Site Engineer at McAleer & Rushe, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality projects on time, within budget, and with a strong focus on safety. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the Site Manager and ensuring the successful execution of construction projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Collaborate with the Site Manager to develop and implement site management plans, ensuring effective coordination of resources and personnel.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to specialist subcontractors, including groundworks and concrete frame contractors, to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure that all materials and work performed meet project standards.
  • Communication: Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Project Planning: Assist in planning and organizing site activities to meet project deadlines, including supervising and monitoring the supporting engineering team and site labor force.
  • Health and Safety: Oversee the implementation of McAleer & Rushe's "Think Smart" health and safety management system on site.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior site manager and project manager on project progress, quality control, and any technical issues.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree or HND in engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in a similar role, with previous experience of setting out structures over £5m.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and self-motivated with a drive to achieve results.
  • Certifications: A current valid CSR/CSCS Card and IT literacy with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD.
