Supporting Young People in Newcastle

OzHarvest is seeking a qualified individual to join our Newcastle Nourish Program Team as the Nourish Program Support Trainer. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people facing barriers to education and employment.

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Collaborate with the Newcastle Nourish Lead Trainer to oversee program implementation in line with OzHarvest standards and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to participants during and post-course completion.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment: TAE40116 or TAE40110, along with TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills and TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools.
  • A relevant qualification and experience in commercial cookery – Minimum Certificate II in Cookery.
  • A dedication to supporting young people facing barriers to education and employment.

Compensation:

We offer an estimated salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, and a chance to make a meaningful difference in the community.
