At Preston Scouts, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Section Leader to lead our Nightshift Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a safe, exciting, and stimulating programme for our young people.
Main Responsibilities- Programme Delivery: Develop and deliver a Balanced Programme that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of our young people, including at least one nights away experience per year.
- Section Operations: Work with the Group Scout Leader, Group Executive Committee, and other stakeholders to support recruiting and inducting Assistant Leaders and Section Assistants, and ensure accurate records are kept of our young people.
- Leadership and Development: Agree responsibilities with Assistant Section Leaders, Section Assistants, and parent helpers, and ensure they have opportunities to develop their leadership potential.
- Communication and Relationships: Build and maintain good relationships with parents/carers, and make regular contributions to Group and District meetings.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people, has excellent leadership and communication skills, and is able to work collaboratively as part of a team. If you are a motivated and experienced individual who is looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
