We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Residential Care Team at the Cambian Group. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our young people, aged 8-18, who have complex behavioural and emotional needs.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading shifts, deputising for the Registered Manager, and ensuring that our team of Residential Care Workers are up-to-date with mandatory learning and development. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating with the on-site team, and contributing to team and staff meetings.

  • Contribute to team and staff meetings
  • Provide support and care to young people in our services
  • Encourage young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling
  • Travel with young people to and from school or college
  • Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home environment
  • Organise and facilitate social activities
Requirements

We are looking for someone who holds a full UK driving licence and has a desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent. 12 months experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable, but we also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey.

Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.

Benefits

We offer a competitive rate of pay, up to £13.20 per hour dependent on experience/qualifications, as well as completely free on-shift meals and parking. We also offer training and development plans to meet your individual needs, including NVQs and career progression opportunities.

In addition, we offer a range of benefits, including 28 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays and rising with service, paid sickness leave, and additional overtime/on-call/sleep-in/disturbance rates. We also have a casual dress code, company pension, and Simply Health linked to service.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates. We are committed to promoting equal opportunities for all and challenging any behaviour or practice which discriminates against any young person or colleague on the grounds of race, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation or any other perceived difference.
