Unit Operations Manager

Chartwells - Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Unit Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our catering services in schools. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional food and customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise teams to maintain high standards of food quality and customer service
- Oversee the efficiency of all in-unit operations, including inventory management and budget monitoring
- Communicate regularly with your line manager to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets
- Represent Chartwells - Schools and maintain a positive brand image
- Identify opportunities for new service concepts to drive sales
- Liaise between customers and internal teams to exceed expectations
- Support and train teams, leading by example to ensure everyone can excel in their role
Requirements
- Passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
- Minimum two years of management experience in a similar sector or industry
- Experience managing teams in a similar role
- Strong financial acumen and excellent communication skills
- Ambitious and motivated individual always looking to upskill
