**Job Overview**

This exciting opportunity is for an experienced Fusion Energy Engineer to join our team. As part of our Risk Assurance & QSHE division, you will play a key role in shaping the future of fusion energy.

**Key Responsibilities**

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Guiding on regulatory reporting and interface requirements to ensure compliance with UKAEA's legal obligations.
  • Main contributor to the functional management of radiological safety performance, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience working on major projects as a technical lead and contract manager.
  • Demonstrable experience in strategy and planning.
  • Supporting the growth mindset culture by mentoring colleagues and contributing to training courses.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects and teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Membership of the Society for Radiological Protection (SRP) and evidence of delivering innovative solutions.
