NATS, the UK's leading air navigation service provider, requires a skilled Test Engineer to work on various projects, including air traffic management systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Verifying and validating mission-critical software and systems
  • Conducting system lifecycle activities, including requirement generation and acceptance criteria development
  • Defining test requirements and designing tests
  • Creating test plans, scripts, reports, and documentation
  • Maintaining test tools and environments
  • Contributing to departmental procedures
  • Supporting resource estimates
  • Participating in project test reviews

This role will involve working on major projects with indicative values between £1M - £5M.

Key Responsibilities

Expected to work independently on assigned tasks, following the V&V Process to ensure quality, cost, and time adherence.

Responsible for delegating and supervising assigned resources to achieve project goals.

Executing assigned activities efficiently and timely.

Analyzing requirements to determine optimal test solutions and producing accurate test specifications.

Must be highly motivated and able to communicate effectively.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Hold a HNC (or equivalent qualification) in an Engineering-related discipline and have relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in large real-time systems engineering, preferably in safety-related environments and/or Air Traffic Management Systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycles and testing processes.

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Flexible working arrangements available.
