Job Summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estates Manager to lead the development of the operational estates for the future. As the Head of Estates Operational Services, you will be responsible for providing senior management of the Trust's Estates Operational Services, delivering these services at the Royal Free Hospital and associated satellite sites.

Main Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day operations of Estates Operational Services and develop these services in accordance with the Trust's corporate policies, strategies, and vision.
  • Lead on all specialist aspects of Estates and Associated Operational Services, including interpreting legislative and other requirements on Estates Operational issues for the Trust.
  • Develop and implement service improvements and modernisation, using effective leadership to engage positively with the workforce and develop excellent staff survey results.
  • Manage and monitor all in-house and contracted-out services, particularly managing the performance of the Hard FM Services contracts ensuring compliance with statutory standards and recognised safe practices.
  • Play a key role in strategic and operational Estates change management programmes and key projects for the Trust.

Requirements

  • Degree in Building, Engineering, or Management or relevant subject area or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Facilities Management or alternative relevant field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Project management qualification, e.g., PRINCE2.
  • Experience of managing projects.
