Job Description:

This exciting opportunity involves working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for students. Key responsibilities include undertaking activities with individuals or small groups of children to facilitate their physical, emotional, and educational development.

  • Establish supportive relationships with children and parents to ensure effective communication and partnership between school and home.
  • Carry out pre-determined educational activities and work programmes while promoting independent learning and following specific guidelines.

In addition, the successful candidate will have opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge through training and professional development initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess relevant NVQ2 or equivalent qualifications and experience working in a classroom setting. A minimum of one year's experience as a Teaching and Learning Assistant or classroom assistant is also required.

  • Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of practices and procedures within education related to child welfare, safety, and education.
  • Able to identify and work towards specific goals with children and colleagues.
