About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse to join our team as a Severe Asthma Nurse. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care and contributing to the improvement of clinical outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory nursing and be passionate about delivering evidence-based care. They will be responsible for managing a delegated caseload of patients, providing clinical expertise, and demonstrating in-depth specialist knowledge and skills.

The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes consultants, specialist nurses, and pharmacists, dedicated to the care of patients with severe asthma. They will work in a specialist tertiary referral service that provides care for patients from across the local area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a delegated caseload of patients, delivering individualised and personalised direct patient care.
  • Provide clinical expertise and specialist advice across the whole spectrum of the service, focusing on the provision of biologic medicines.
  • Demonstrate in-depth specialist knowledge, skills, and innovative practice in the specialist area, ensuring the delivery of appropriate evidence-based care.
  • Demonstrate appropriate expert practice and specialist advice in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
