Role Overview

Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Level Hand Therapist to join our team at Chichester Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing a complex clinical caseload of hand therapy patients referred from Consultants, GP's, PMI's or self referrals, as well as post-operative patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality, effective clinical care to patients with hand injuries or conditions.
  • Work closely with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, running clinics alongside them.
  • Exercise a high degree of professional autonomy and integrity.
  • Participate and provide support to the national Nuffield Health Hand Therapy network with regular supervision sessions.

Requirements

  • BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in the field of hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
  • Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills, with the ability to demonstrate confidence and competence in these areas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
