Advanced Hand Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Hand Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with hand injuries and conditions.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated and experienced hand therapist to take on a leadership role within our team. You will be responsible for managing a complex clinical caseload, working closely with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, and participating in regular supervision sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, effective clinical care to patients with hand injuries and conditions.

  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of the standard of treatment provided and participate in clinical audit and quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent, and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
  • Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills, with the ability to demonstrate evidence of further professional development.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Competent and confident IT user, with strong organisation skills.
