Advanced Hand Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Hand Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with hand injuries and conditions.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated and experienced hand therapist to take their career to the next level. You will work closely with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, running clinics and managing a complex clinical caseload of hand therapy patients. Your expertise and professionalism will be essential in helping our patients recover to the level of health and wellbeing they aspire to.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, effective clinical care to patients with hand injuries and conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
  • Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload effectively.

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30-bedded, CQC 'outstanding' rated hospital located in the heart of Chichester. We provide a range of services, including orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, and pain management. Our physiotherapy department treats patients at both the hospital and our Nuffield Health fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester Gate.
