Job Title: Advanced Hand Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Hand Therapist to join our team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, effective clinical care to patients with hand injuries or conditions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to patients with hand injuries or conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses, AHPs, and consultants, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of care.

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30-bedded, CQC 'outstanding' rated hospital located in the heart of Chichester. We provide a range of services, including orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, max fax, and pain management. Our physiotherapy department treats patients at both the hospital and our Nuffield Health fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester Gate.

Requirements:

  • A BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent, and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in the field of hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
  • Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
