Job Title: Advanced Hand Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Hand Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with hand and upper limb injuries or conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex clinical caseload of hand therapy patients, including post-operative patients and those referred from consultants, GPs, and PMIs.
  • Work closely with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, running clinics alongside them and exercising professional autonomy and integrity.
  • Deliver excellent clinical care that is safe, effective, caring, well-led, and responsive to patient needs.
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of treatment standards and compliance with professional, clinical, and integrated governance standards.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent, with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
  • Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills, with the ability to demonstrate evidence of further professional development.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
  • Competent and confident IT user, with strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
