Make a Difference in the Lives of Young People

Via Westminster Drug Project is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peripatetic Case Worker to join our New Beginnings service in Cheshire West and Chester. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that young people receive effective and efficient care, promoting a positive impact on their recovery.

The Role

As a Peripatetic Case Worker, you will undertake early-intervention and prevention work in various youth settings, including fixed youth provision settings in the evening. Your primary objective will be to prevent the progression of substance misuse and associated anti-social and risk-taking behavior, including sexual exploitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enable young people to develop healthy boundaries, emotional resilience, and build self-esteem, providing harm reduction prevention advice, guidance, and education.
  • Enable people to access education, employment, health, wellbeing, and recovery activities, promoting a culture of positive occupation of time.
  • Work alongside the Early Help and Prevention Service in Cheshire West and Chester, engaging with the wider youth service team and other stakeholders.
  • Support the day-to-day delivery of excellent drug and alcohol services to those and their significant others, including family members, friends, and carers.

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to work across our three service hubs, the wider North-West, as well as occasional travel to our head office in London.
