Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Peripatetic Case Worker to join our team at Via Westminster Drug Project. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing effective and efficient care to young people with drug and alcohol issues.

The Role

As a Peripatetic Case Worker, you will be responsible for undertaking early-intervention and prevention work in various youth settings to prevent the progression of substance misuse and associated anti-social and risk-taking behavior. You will work closely with young people to enable them to develop healthy boundaries, emotional resilience, and build self-esteem, providing harm reduction prevention advice, guidance, and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake early-intervention and prevention work in a variety of youth settings to prevent the progression of substance misuse and associated anti-social and risk-taking behavior.
  • Enable young people to develop healthy boundaries, emotional resilience, and build self-esteem, providing harm reduction prevention advice, guidance, and education.
  • Enable people to access education, employment, health, wellbeing, and recovery activities - promoting a culture of positive occupation of time.
  • Work alongside the Early Help and Prevention Service in Cheshire West and Chester - engaging with the wider youth service team and other stakeholders.
  • Support the day-to-day delivery of excellent drug and alcohol services to those and their significant others, including family members, friends, and carers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a skilled and compassionate individual with experience in working with young people and substance misuse. You will be required to work across our three service hubs, the wider North-West, as well as occasional travel to our head office.
