Elevation Accountancy and Finance is seeking a Temporary Payroll Clerk to join their team in Sheffield. This ongoing temporary position offers the possibility of permanency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring timely updates of client data
  • Prepare payrolls with high precision and meet agreed deadlines
  • Submit all required returns to HMRC on time
  • Familiarize yourself with HMRC legislation, including changes to tax codes
  • Demonstrate expertise in statutory payments and eligibility criteria, undertaking necessary training
  • Conduct thorough self-checks of prepared work before submission for audit
  • Administer client pension schemes, apply changes, produce reports, and ensure timely submissions
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of various pension schemes and current regulations, undertaking necessary training
  • Manage client expectations, notify delays, provide reasons, and offer solutions, keeping the Payroll Manager informed
  • Complete year-end activities within given deadlines, including P60 document distribution
Requirements:
  • A sound knowledge of payroll procedures and HMRC legislation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Estimated Salary:

£25,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
