Senior Credit Controller

Based in Tamworth, this office-based position requires 5+ years of B2B credit experience. Estimated Salary: £32,000 - £33,700 per annum.

About the Role:

In a dynamic environment, our UK market leader and its over 60 brands are undergoing significant growth and change. As part of this transformation, they are investing in training and new systems for their high-performing credit team. Reporting to a Credit Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own ledger from start to finish.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proactively manage two diverse ledgers and resolve queries before due dates.
  2. Chase customers for outstanding payments, ensuring timely payment.
  3. Perform daily bank reconciliation and cash allocation, monitoring any unallocated payments.
  4. Maintain and update customer records, conduct credit checks and reviews.
  5. Set up new accounts and vet them for creditworthiness.
  6. Analyze opportunities to improve processes.
  7. Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries and maintain excellent customer service.
  8. Meet monthly and yearly deadlines.
Your Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in an AR/Credit department.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure.
