Bradford Council Job Opportunity:
Support Established Teams as a Casual Residential Practitioner.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified childcare worker to support our established teams as a Casual Residential Practitioner at Clockhouse, Wedgewood, Valleyview, and BEST in our learning disabilities specialist provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to children and young people with complex health and learning disabilities.
- Offer activities and stimulation within the community and the homes.
- Support the young people's time away from their family home.
- Enhance the young people's socialisation and community interaction.
- Work with young people who may present behaviours that challenge and/or have complex health needs.
Requirements:
- NVQ level 3 in care of children and young people or equivalent.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Willingness to undertake training and development as part of the role.
- Ability to support personal care needs of young people.
- Ability to support young people in times of stress or anxiety.
