Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and qualified child care workers to support our established teams in providing short break services for children with disabilities.
Job Responsibilities
As a Respite Care Worker, you will work in a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care and support to young people with physical and learning disabilities
- Assisting with daily living tasks and promoting independence
- Participating in activities and interventions to support socialisation and community interaction
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement individualised care plans
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Care of Children and Young People or equivalent
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
- Willingness to undertake training and development as part of the role
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Working Arrangements
This is a casual contract with shifts available as and when required. You will be expected to work at one of our learning disabilities specialist provisions in Bradford and Keighley.
