Austin Fraser is currently recruiting for a Criminal Investigation Professional to support the Grenfell Inquiry in Hendon, London. This is a temporary role, working on a full-time/part-time basis for up to 12 months, with a competitive hourly rate of £25.51 per hour (PAYE) or £25.08 per hour (Umbrella).

Job Description
  • Action led tasking to progress established criminal investigations.

The ideal candidate will have professional experience as a police detective, with recent involvement in Major/Complex Crime Investigations. Previous experience of working in a Major Incident Room (MIR) or Major Investigation Team (MIT) HOLMES environment is also desirable. The successful candidate must possess sound report writing skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

This role offers a hybrid working policy, allowing for one day of agile working per week, while overtime is available but not mandatory.

Requirements
  • Professionalising Investigation Programme (PIP2) accredited or equivalent police detective experience.
  • Recent experience (last two years) of conducting Major/Complex Crime Investigations.
  • Ideal experience of working in a Major Incident Room (MIR) or Major Investigation Team (MIT) HOLMES environment.
  • Sound report writing/written skills.
  • Must be IT literate and have a good command and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
