About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hays Construction and Property as an Asset Portfolio Manager, where you will be responsible for the management of the regional property portfolio of the charity. As a key member of the team, you will report to the Head of Corporate Real Estate and work closely with the Estates Manager to ensure the portfolio is optimized for maximum value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation of asset valuations and provide expert advice on property matters related to the diverse property portfolio.
  • Develop and implement disposal programs for surplus assets and acquire new assets to support the charity's mission.
  • Work closely with external consultants to ensure the portfolio is managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement asset management initiatives that drive business growth and transformation.
  • Provide detailed interpretation of deeds and offer expert advice on property ownership and tenure.
  • Liaise with local planners to protect the interests of the charity and its assets.
  • Prepare clear board reports and present them to the Board of Directors.
Requirements
  • Qualification at degree level and membership of a relevant professional organization, such as the RICS.
  • Extensive experience in asset management and transactional activities across various asset classes.
  • Good understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation.
  • Proven track record in promoting a culture of transformation within a CRE function.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle large and varied workloads, customer-facing skills, and excellent reporting skills.
  • Ability to make effective decisions, collaborate, and partner with colleagues across the organization.
