About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hays Specialist Recruitment as an Asset Manager, where you will be responsible for the management of the regional property portfolio of a charity. As a key member of the team, you will report to the Head of Corporate Real Estate and work closely with the Estates Manager to ensure the portfolio is optimized for the charity's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation of asset valuations and provide advice on property matters related to the diverse property portfolio.
  • Develop and implement disposal programs for surplus assets and acquire new assets to support the charity's mission.
  • Work closely with external consultants and stakeholders to ensure the portfolio is managed effectively.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop professional skills and experience, as well as personal development through training opportunities.
Requirements
  • Qualification at degree level and membership of a professional organization such as the RICS.
  • Widespread asset management and transactional experience across various asset classes.
  • Good understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation.
  • Proven track record in promoting a culture of transformation within a CRE Function.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle large and varied workloads, customer-facing skills, and excellent reporting skills.
  • Ability to make effective decisions, collaborate, and partner with colleagues across the organization.
  • Ability to provide detailed interpretation of deeds and advice related to property ownership and tenure.
  • Experience of liaising with local planners to protect the interests of the client and assets.
  • Experience of preparing clear board reports and presenting them to Boards.
