About the Role
The RNLI's Lifeboat Station in Wells-next-the-Sea is seeking a volunteer to join the team as a Shore Crew member. This exciting opportunity will allow you to make a significant impact in saving lives at sea by assisting with the safe launch and recovery of our lifeboats on service and exercise.

As a Shore Crew volunteer, you will be part of a dedicated team that works tirelessly to ensure the station and equipment are well-maintained. Your responsibilities will include maintaining competence under our Competency Framework for the role, contributing to the overall upkeep of the station, lifeboats, and equipment, and assisting with the launch and recovery of the lifeboats on service and exercise.

We are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication skills, can work effectively in a team environment, and have good general fitness. Additionally, you should be able to live or work within 15 minutes of the station and be between 18 and 70 years of age.

In return for your dedication and hard work, you will receive training to fulfill your volunteer role, and reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed. You will also have the opportunity to learn new skills, gain experience, and be part of an inclusive and diverse organisation that values its volunteers. Furthermore, you will have the satisfaction of giving back to your community and making a real difference in people's lives.
