Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our specialist team, providing assessment and intervention services for children and young people with gender incongruence. The successful candidate will have significant post-graduate experience in paediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a leadership role, and a proven track record of achieving results and improving patient outcomes.

About the Team

Our team is comprised of dedicated professionals who share a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. We work closely with families and local therapy agencies to develop comprehensive care plans, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Our team leader provides supervision, guidance, and support, enabling us to achieve our goals and deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide specialist occupational therapy services, including assessment, treatment, and management of children and young people with gender incongruence.
* Develop and implement care plans, working collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals.
* Lead the occupational therapy team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in paediatric occupational therapy, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

* Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
* Registration with HCPC
* Significant post-graduate experience in paediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a leadership role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
* Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a track record of achieving results and improving patient outcomes
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply critical thinking to complex situations

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £53,755 - £60,504 per annum, dependent on experience, with a range of benefits including annual leave, pension scheme, and access to ongoing professional development opportunities.
