Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our specialist team, providing high-quality services to children and young people with gender incongruence and their families.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide specialist assessment and advice to children and young people with Gender Incongruence and co-occurring conditions, developing and implementing individualised treatment plans.
  • To co-ordinate and lead a team of Occupational Therapists to provide a comprehensive service on an outpatient and outreach basis, ensuring seamless transitions between services.
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with local services, education providers, and community agencies to support improved function and outcomes for children and young people.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with HCPC
  • Evidence of relevant post-graduate continuing professional development
  • Further training in a related area e.g. sensory integration therapy, ACT
  • Registration with RCOT
