Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Project Manager to join our client's transformative Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme. This role is critical to the success of one of the most significant digital and operational transformations currently underway across multiple hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Leadership: Oversee the strategy, development, and management of the MEDITECH data warehouse within the EPR team.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop a team of SQL developers, providing training to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Data Integration: Ensure accurate data integration across multiple hospital sites, meeting local needs and maintaining reporting continuity.
  • Data Governance: Establish a cross-trust data dictionary, data lineage, and full documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver timely, accurate solutions.
  • Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with overall programme goals.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the programme's expert in MEDITECH data warehouse, data architecture, and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Audit and Quality Assurance: Lead audits and quality assurance to ensure development aligns with best practices and statutory requirements.
  • Innovation: Implement innovative solutions to data challenges, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Postgraduate Qualification: Postgraduate qualification (e.g., master's degree) or equivalent experience in Health Informatics.
  • Technical Expertise: Expert knowledge of data warehouse and reporting development frameworks.
  • Experience: Extensive experience with SQL Server Management Studio, data architecture, and data warehousing.
  • Programming Skills: In-depth knowledge of programming languages, SQL Server Management Studio, and scripting languages.
  • SQL Skills: Ability to write complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • NHS Knowledge: Knowledge and experience with NHS contracting and payment systems.
  • Business Analysis: Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis and documentation.
  • Team Management: Experience in managing, developing, and recruiting staff in a technical environment.
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare (NHS) data standards and mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple environments.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Successful evidence of change management techniques and their application.
  • Project Management: Expertise in project management, with a record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Training: Experience in training staff on technical systems.
