About the Role

Fawkes & Reece (North) is recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor to work in our prestigious Civil Engineering business.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced, award-winning team and contribute to the delivery of innovative and cost-effective solutions for a diverse range of public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement, commercial, and contractual aspects of construction projects.
  • Procure sub-contractors, prepare and submit external applications for payment, and identify, price, and agree on change and valuation.
  • Commercially manage projects, including budgetary control, monitoring of costs, and prompt identification and management of overspend.
  • Prepare and present Commercial and Post-Contract Reviews.
  • Agree on Client final accounts and supervise and train junior members of staff.

Requirements:

  • A relevant CSCS card and a BSc, NVQ4, or MSc qualification in a related field.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities.
  • A solid understanding of construction techniques and processes, various forms of Method of Measurement, and standard engineering contracts.
