**Job Title:** Marine Geospatial Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Marine Geospatial Specialist. The successful candidate will be required to perform various roles within the company, including planning and undertaking hydrographic surveys, calibrating and maintaining survey equipment, and developing and documenting survey procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Hydrography, Marine Geography, Marine Sciences, or a related field. They should also have working knowledge of hydrographic multibeam systems, motion reference units, side scan sonar, and magnetometer systems. Strong marine background and attention to detail are essential for this role.

The salary for this position is £28,000 - £38,000 per annum depending on experience. The company offers 33 days of annual leave per year (including Bank Holidays), pension matching, flexible working hours, continuous training and development opportunities, and a great team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobilize vessels and survey equipment
  • Plan and undertake hydrographic surveys
  • Calibrate and maintain survey equipment
  • Develop and document survey procedures
  • Process and chart large area bathymetric datasets
  • Compile concise and accurate survey reports for clients

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Hydrography, Marine Geography, Marine Sciences, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of hydrographic multibeam systems
  • Strong marine background
  • Attention to detail and documentation under pressure
