**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Hydrographic Data Processor to join our team in Lymington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting bathymetric processing, generating client deliverables, and writing survey reports.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct high-quality bathymetric processing, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data creation.
  • Prepare reports based on geophysical survey data and interpretation, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Produce high-quality hydrographic charts and chartlets using QGIS or ArcGIS, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Ensure data quality control and assurance, verifying that it meets project scope requirements.
  • Provide a positive feedback loop to the infield survey team, improving data acquisition quality and practices.
  • Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot inconsistencies in hydrographic data.
  • Follow and contribute to established data processing procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist with data management and archiving activities, ensuring secure storage and retrieval.

**Requirements:**

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, such as Hydrography, Marine Geography, or Marine Sciences.
  • Working knowledge of hydrographic multibeam systems, motion reference units, side scan sonar, and magnetometer systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and troubleshoot data where required.
