Job Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydrographic Mapping Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mobilizing vessels, planning and conducting hydrographic surveys, calibrating and maintaining survey equipment, and developing and documenting survey procedures.

Responsibilities:
  1. Mobilize vessels and ensure survey equipment is properly installed, calibrated, and verified
  2. Plan and conduct hydrographic surveys using state-of-the-art equipment
  3. Calibrate and maintain survey equipment to ensure accuracy and precision
  4. Develop and document survey procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
  5. Process and chart large area bathymetric datasets to provide valuable insights for our clients
  6. Compile concise and accurate survey reports to meet client expectations
  7. Assist project managers in running survey projects to ensure timely completion and delivery
  8. Research new technologies and arrange trials to stay ahead of the industry
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject like Hydrography, Marine Geography, or Marine Sciences
  • Working knowledge of hydrographic multibeam systems and related equipment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
  • A marine background with attention to detail and documentation
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently
  • A valid UK driving license
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £62,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of benefits, including:
