We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting multi-disciplinary team members in the delivery of care and treatment to people using services. You will be required to work effectively with individuals, families, and carers to promote recovery, well-being, and independence.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You will be passionate about delivering person-centered care and committed to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist multi-disciplinary team members in the delivery of care and treatment to people using services.
  • Work effectively with individuals, families, and carers to promote recovery, well-being, and independence.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Essential: Basic Education, Care Certificate or equivalent, Previous experience working in a caring situation or mental health setting.
  • Desirable: NVQ level 3, QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification, Previous care experience with people who have mental health difficulties.
Estimated Salary

£22,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
