About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Exeter Outer Core Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions and liaise with other professionals to ensure effective care planning and outcomes.
  • Provide supervision and support to colleagues, as well as contributing to operational management tasks.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each service user.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, occupational therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • A professional mental health qualification, such as a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist degree.
  • Postgraduate qualification relevant to the specialism, such as a Master's degree in mental health or a related field.
  • Training to level 3 in Safeguarding children and young people: roles and competencies for Health Care staff.
  • Substantial experience of managing complex caseloads and working in community mental health settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to assess and develop plans to manage risk, and to work creatively to maximise the effectiveness of care plans.
