About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Patient Administrator to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Outpatient Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our clinical colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and efficient service to patients, responding to their queries and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Manage patient appointments, ensuring accurate and timely booking and follow-up arrangements.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection protocols.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Requirements
- GCSE standard in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service and Administration (or equivalent knowledge base).
- Experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
